Daniel H. April

Dan April concentrates his practice in corporate and securities law, representing a mutual fund complex, and a number of local commercial enterprises.

Mr. April’s practice involves the preparation and filing of registration statements and related items under the Securities Act of 1933 and the Investment Company Act of 1940, as well as advice to clients respecting their compliance with these and other federal securities laws.

Mr. April’s practice also involves assistance to clients in their compliance with other federal and state statutes, assistance in preparation for regulatory examinations and the preparation of compliance policies and procedures, advice to clients respecting contracts and significant corporate transactions, and advice to corporate governing boards and board committees. Mr. April also assists in the negotiation and consummation of a variety of commercial transactions.

Mr. April worked from 2002 until 2006 as an associate at Ropes & Gray LLP in Boston, Massachusetts, and has worked at April, Dolan & Koehler, P.C. and its predecessor firm since 2006.

Mr. April received his B.S.F.S. from Georgetown University in 1999 and his J.D. from the Georgetown University Law Center in 2002. While in Washington, D.C., Mr. April spent some time as a White House intern and as a clerk with the United States Attorney’s Office.
